Last Month

Of course I set up something that is easy for people to see, read and use the last month we are here... but hopefully this will turn into somethng we will all enjoy!

We are lucky to be on the countdown until we are headed stateside. May 9th Ryan and I fly to Atlanta to attend a wedding in Texas on the 13th. But, we will be in Atlanta after the 15th.

I am really looking forward to talking on the phone and seeing people in person. As many of you may not understand, I don't have much of an outlet to chat with people. I don't have friends here to hang out with or go to lunch with. So...I'm looking forward to spending time with family and friends!! That will be the highlight of my summer.

Tom's basketball is going well. We have a new American player from Maryland, Rodney Elliot. He is our weekly dinner date... he comes here for my yummy (?) cooking and to talk and watch TV. He is a sweetie... We've also met two of the sweetest boys... Mormon missionaries. They are young and slightly homesick...so they are often here for dinner and talking. So, now we have more of an American base than in the months before.

Ryan is growing like crazy...he is running and walking and talking. He continues to fall everyday and hurt something. I guess that is having a curious toddler!! He speaks both spanish and english...his new words are rojo (red in spanish) and choo choo train. Ryan is around 30lbs and 33 inches. And it seems like all his teeth are coming in at once!!

Well...that is all from Fuenla!! Tom has his last home game this weekend...so keep your fingers crossed for a win!!
